Features
The 2665 Shortcut Balebuster has all of the features of the 2660 Balebuster, including right hand discharge, chain and slat conveyor table that continuously rotates the bale while the heavy-duty rotor and hammers process the material.
The 2665 Shortcut Balebuster also comes with more hammers, more stripper kits, and more slug bars giving you additional cutting and ultimately a shorter product.
More hammers allow for more cutting edge, more slug bars control the flow of material to the rotor along with the stripper kits which hold up the flow allowing more hammer cutting. The Haybuster Balebuster also has increased rotor speed, through the chain case. The chain case reverses the rotor direction for right side discharge and gives you 30% more rotor speed.
Notable Updates
With bales getting bigger and heavier, we have made the 2665 a more durable Balebuster. We have increased the diameter of the rotor shaft and bearing, as well as the conveyor shaft. The chain attachment to the slats is more durable. We have also increased the width of the table to eliminate dead spots where material cab build up. We also moved the loader forks over to help center the bale while loading into the chamber.
The 2665 is equipped with more slug bars, more flails and more stripper channel kits. These additions combine to give you more cut and more control in sizing of the material. If you desire a ciner cut, the 2665 is for you!
Shredder Chamber with More Durable 3-Chain Slat Conveyor
The 2665 chain table comes standard with a more durable chain. This, along with the heavy-duty flails and high-speed rotor allows processing of bales in any condition; wet, frozen, old, new or with flattened bottoms. The conveyor is tilted so it helps to keep bales positioned against the slug bars for consistent processing of hay.
Heavy Duty Flails and High Speed Rotor
The 2665 features an oil bath chain case that reverses the direction of the in-line PTO, increasing the speed and efficiency of the rotor by 30%. Heavy-duty rotor and flails process all types of bales in all conditions.
Two Stage Bale Loader
The 2665 two-stage bale loader allows each bale to be lifted separately without disturbing other bales. It’s designed to carry a second bale to increase efficiency.
Heavy Duty Frame
The Haybuster Balebusters have the most durable chassis on the market to stand up to today’s larger, heavier bales.
Rotor Access Door
The 2665 gives you quick and easy access to the rotor for routing inspections and twine removal with the rotor access door. Two additional stripper bars can be installed on the door to reduce the length of the cut.
Easily Adjustable Slug Bars
The slug bars on the 2665 are easily adjustable from a single point. The slug bar adjustment alters the amount of the hammers exposed to the hay, and is adjusted based on the type of hay, moisture content of the hay and the coarseness/fineness of the cut desires. Also offered with an optional hydraulic adjustment to allow control from the tractor cab.
Right Side Discharge/Deflector
Adjusting the right side deflector on the 2665 is a one-handed operation because the torsion springs support the bulk of the deflector’s weight, allowing you to set the deflector to that desired position with minimal effort. The deflector can be positioned for windrow feeding for bedding or erosion control. The optional hydraulic deflector allows the operator to set the deflector position directly from the tractor cab.
Optional Grain Tank
The optional 21-bushel grain tank top dresses corn, grains and palletized feed supplements through a 4” auger. The grain top dresses the hay for added supplement for your cattle, allowing them to clean up the ration.
