Features

Auger

Auger

At just under 24 inches in diameter, the 12- and 16-row 30-inch C500 corn head models offer the largest cross auger in the industry. This massive auger design delivers improved hand-off dynamics between the head and feeder house, providing unparalleled capacity gains to ensure maximum throughput potential of the combine behind it.

Additionally, the new auger design powers through crop and harvest conditions that could otherwise cause crop flow hesitation or plugging. Field testing demonstrated a more than 30% capacity increase over comparable models in prior series when faced with tough harvest conditions.

Weight

Lighter corn head units

C500 series corn heads have achieved up to a 12% total header weight reduction when compared with prior comparable models, enhancing vehicle balance and flotation in the field, improving overall combine performance. That means a weight reduction of up to 100 pounds per row unit.

Durability

Spring Free, Self-Adjusting Deck Plates

An all-new spring free, self-adjusting deck plate system delivers automatic, on the fly adjustment of the deck plate gap, helping to absorb stalk-to-stalk variation (up to 6mm or ¼-inch), independently across each row unit, adjusting to most conditions you would see in the field.

A hydraulic in-cab deck plate control allows for operator control and adjustment at your fingertips when needed.

The two systems work in tandem: the spring free, self-adjusting deck plate system automatically handles stalk-to-stalk differences with no operator input, while the in-cab hydraulic control provides the ability for the operator to adjust deck plate position from the cab if necessary.

Design

Divider and hood design

The C500 divider and hood design profile delivers excellent performance in downed corn conditions. Divider height settings can be quickly adjusted and synchronized across the header via the adjustment bolt at the front of the hood.

C500 series corn heads come standard with active end dividers on the outermost hoods, and are available with optional tall corn shields when conditions dictate. Each hood and divider come standard with replaceable wear strips for added durability.

Maintenance

Service and maintenance

The hood and divider design allows easy service access for row unit service, cleaning, and maintenance. Each C500 series head comes standard with a gathering chain service tool, allowing the operator to use both hands when servicing the gathering chains.

Every C500 series corn head comes standard with a slip clutch monitoring system that can alert the operator the instant an issue arises via an in-cab alarm. This extends the life of these components and reduces harvest downtime.

Stalk Stompers

Stalk Stompers

Available in both full width and tire/track configurations, C500 series headers offer factory fit or accessory options to help better manage residue needs and mitigate tire or track wear due to stubble damage. Stompers offer multiple operation settings and pivot fully up for storage or trailering needs.

RowGuide Pro

RowGuide Pro

C500 series corn heads are compatible with RowGuide Pro™, which combines GPS with advanced sensor technology for seamless row tracking and easier combine operation, even in the most demanding harvest conditions.
